How premiums work
There's no legal overtime, night or bank holiday premium in the UK. Your contract sets any enhanced rate, often written as a multiplier such as time and a half (1.5×) or double time (2×). Enter yours here.
The minimum wage check
Your total pay for the period, divided by all the hours you worked, must be at least the minimum wage for your age. Premium pay counts towards that, but unpaid overtime pulls your average down.
